Join us for an interdisciplinary discussion exploring the practice of 2018–2019 artist in residence Allison Janae Hamilton. Hamilton joins filmmaker Ja’Tovia Gary for a conversation moderated by musicologist Dr. Matthew Morrison for a rich dialogue addressing the myriad of social, historical, and geographical references informing Hamilton’s latest body of work created for MOOD. The conversation highlights intersecting points of site-specificity in the panelists’ work and concludes with an informal Q&A.
The three main floors of MoMA PS1, including the bookstore and café, are accessible by elevator.
The exhibition at MoMA PS1 is made possible by generous support from John L. Thomson.
