Our galleries are temporarily closed as we prepare for the construction of our new museum—from the ground up!

In the meantime, our programming is happening throughout the neighborhood with community partners and in public spaces through our inHarlem initiative.

Check out our calendar for event and exhibition information, and to learn more about our offsite programming inHarlem, click here.

You can still visit us at 144 West 125th Street to shop in the Museum Store and get more information.

The Studio Museum in Harlem is committed to making its exhibitions, programs, and services accessible to all who visit. The Museum's lobby, main gallery, gift shop, restrooms, atrium, and sculpture court are wheelchair accessible, and the theatre, additional galleries and education and project spaces can be reached with the use of an elevator. Guided tours are available for all exhibitions to ensure that individuals with a range of abilities can experience the Museum. Tours tailored to visitors with physical or developmental challenges can also be arranged. For public programs, accommodation can be made for visitors in wheelchairs or with limited mobility.

Uniformed security guards, stationed at the entrance and throughout the Museum can help direct visitors to appropriate facilities and resources, as well as assist with First Aid. Appropriately documented service animals are welcome at the Museum. The Museum's website is accessible—and usable—for all Internet users and for the full range of browsing platforms and devices such as screen readers, PDAs, and mobile phones.

If you have questions or comments about accessibility at the Studio Museum, please call 212-864-4500 x228 or email us.
