Schools

School programs reflect the Museum’s deep commitment to schools and youth-focused organizations in Harlem and across New York City. Through open dialogue with practicing artists, inquiry-based discussions around works of art in the permanent collection, and hands-on art making projects the Studio Museum builds tailored partnerships with schools and community organizations. School Programs are designed to complement curricula, educate students about artists of African descent, and challenge them to think critically and creatively about their communities.
